The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
